INS Trust is promoted by GNRC in collaboration with some leading personalities of Assam with a view of undertaking Educational and Research work-in the field of Health Care.

GNRC is an ISO 9002 accredited company (this accreditation has since been up graded to ISO 9001 : 2000 standard) having three super specialty Hospitals viz Institute of Neurological Sciences, GNRC Heart Institute and Institute of Critical Care at Dispur, Guwahati. National Board of Medical Education of Govt. of India has approved GNRC as teaching centre for imparting medical education both theoretical and clinical to post graduate medical students in Neurology & Cardiology leading to National Board’s Three Years post Graduate Diploma in aforesaid disciplines. GNRC has the unique distinction of being the first non-government medical organization in conducting Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Research projects.

GNRC is catering the health care services to entire Northeast region along with the neighboring country viz, Nepal Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar etc with the objectives of providing Quality Medicare with the state of art facilities at an affordable value.

At present, there is an acute shortage of qualified nursing personnel not in our country alone but in the entire world. With the objective of imparting quality education of international standard in nursing discipline, INS Trust has set up Asian Institute of Nursing Education at Guwahati ( Assam) in the year 2004. The Institute is recognized by Indian Nursing Council and affiliated to Gauhati University.


Asian Institute of Nursing Education is a professional institution, which functions within the framework and philosophy of INS Trust. The belief of this institution for the B.Sc. Nursing degree programme is to prepare graduates who will be able to render quality care to patients and members of community based on scientific principles and obligated to provide holistic care to each individual in a unique pattern and will assume leadership ability to improve the situation that will bring about change in the hospital & community health services globally. The teachers of B.Sc. Nursing course believe in the individuality of each student, in her capabilities, interest, cognitive abilities and skills and accordingly accept the responsibilities to provide for continued development of each student as an individual, citizen and a Nurse.
